These terms cover your use of Moira, a bot for Root communities. By adding Moira to a community or using her commands, you agree to them. Root's own Terms of Use also apply.

Using Moira

• Use Moira only in ways that follow Root's rules and the law.
• Don't use Moira to spam, harass, or evade a ban, or to break or overload the service.
• Community staff choose which features are on. Moira's word filter is off by default and only runs if a community turns it on.

Virtual currency

Coins, items, pets and casino winnings are for fun only. They have no real-world value and can't be bought, sold, or cashed out. Staff may reset them.

Moderation

Moderation actions taken through Moira (warnings, kicks, bans) are decisions by each community's staff, not by us.

Availability

Moira is provided "as is", without warranties. Features may change, pause or stop, and data may be lost. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages from using Moira.

Ending use

Staff can remove Moira at any time. We may stop serving a community or user that breaks these terms. See the privacy policy for what happens to data.
